

We use RFID timing system mats and readers and a PC based scoring tool ("The Race Director") to collect a start time and finish time. If you contract for app-based timing and your registration numbers go over 225 on or before race day, your event will incur a mandatory upgrade to chip timing and the appropriate fees for chip timing will be charged at that time.ī) Chip based timing. If you KNOW you're going to have more than 225 finishers, we do not offer the app-based timing, but will use chip timing. The app software scores the event and posts the results in real time. With that model, all participants are timed off of the GUN time of the event and each individual finish time is captured at the finish line by our timer who uses an iPad app to record the finish time and bib number. We generally use app-based timing for events of up to 225 registrants.
